Dental Insurance Plans we Take

In short, we are in network for most Insurance plans that are PPO, meaning you are allowed to choose your dentist. One thing that we need to say here is that dental insurance is different than health insurance. If you text us the front and back of your insurance card to our office phone number with your date of birth we will look into your particular insurance plan for you and reach out to you. Our goal is to help, that said we do not work for your insurance company.

PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) Dental Plans:

In-Network Advantages:

  • Lower Costs: PPO plans have a network of preferred providers, and if you visit dentists within this network, you generally pay less for covered services.
  • Flexibility: PPO plans offer more flexibility in choosing dentists. You can see both in-network and out-of-network providers.
  • No Referrals: You don't need referrals to see specialists.
  • Offices that are willing to be in network are becoming fewer and fewer as insurance companies make it harder and harder on dentists. Even the ADA is getting involved. Here is a lawsuit from the ADA on Delta Dental (click Here)

Out-of-Network Disadvantages:

  • Higher Costs: If you choose to see an out-of-network dentist, you'll typically have higher out-of-pocket costs.
  • Limited Coverage: PPO plans often cover out-of-network services at a lower percentage, because dentists are allowed to charge their cash fees which are usually higher and the insurance benefit is a lower percentage.
